Visiting Suffolk's Churches

To make the most of your visit to the Churches of Suffolk we recommend that you use one of the excellent guides that are available. Although they are sometimes difficult to come by, if you can find D.P. Mortlock's Suffolk Churches, Volumes 1,2 and 3, these are comprehensive guides to every church in the County.

Pevsner's Suffolk is less comprehensive and gives less detail on each church, but is still a useful vade mecum.

On line, Simons Suffolk Churches has details and pictures of almost all the churches of the County and is a useful start point.

Suffolk Historic Churches Trust tries to maintain a list of churches that are open and details of key-holders for churches that have to be kept locked. Please look at the 'Is That Church Open' page of this site for details.

Where members have notified us of events and functions in their churches we have listed these in our Suffolk Church Calendar.
