This project would have been impossible without the assistance of four great church scholars :
Simon Knott who for years has biked across Suffolk with camera and notepad to create an informative and personal perspective on each and every church in Suffolk on his website ‘The Suffolk Churches Site’ http://www.suffolkchurches.co.uk/ , and who has generously allowed us to link across to his accounts.
John Vigar, famous across England for his church tours and lectures https://www.johnevigar.com/ and who most kindly allowed us to access and post his pdf library of Suffolk church guides.
Lay Canon Roy Tricker, the author of a great number of the church guides and one of our Vice Presidents, has not only given his copyright permission to post his guides, and also lent us his unique library of Suffolk Church Guides.
Clive Paine, another prolific church guide writer and again one of our Vice Presidents, has given his copyright permission to post his guides.
We would also like to thank all the churches and chapels who generously sent in their Guides to us.
Last but not least, we must thank Lynda Aldred one of Suffolk’s redoubtable band of Church Recorders, who volunteered to co-invent and act as the manager of the project, and without whose tireless work this dream would never have been realised.

If you know of a missing guide not yet included in this ‘on line’ collection -or a more up-to-date guide- do please get in touch with our volunteer at shctguides@gmail.com who can advise on how to send it to us. We would be so grateful as our objective is to collect whatever guides have been written about Suffolk’s 506 churches and 200 Chapels.
