We will be running the Steeple To Steeple Fun Ride again this year – with a few changes from 2025. This time we are visiting six churches so the route will be much shorter and we are going in two groups: one walk and trot and the other will go a little faster at times where ground conditions permit. We will be running the photo competition again with a bottle of champagne for the winner.
Entry is £25 again but as last year riders can choose to raise additional sponsorship money to be shared with the church of their choice. For entry details contact gillie@waterhouse.com

The Suffolk Historic Churches Trust’s ‘Steeple to Steeple Ride’ is a new fun ride in aid of the upkeep of Suffolk’s glorious legacy of some 500 churches & chapels.
For over forty years the Trust has run the ‘Ride & Stride’ bike ride on the second Saturday in September, where supporters are sponsored to cycle from church to church. And six years ago the Trust added a ‘Pedal & Drive’ car tour & rally.
And now the riding fraternity are joining in the fun. Riders of all ages are welcome to join in. The ride will gather at the Lindsey Rose near Bildeston and then take in seven churches and some beautiful country. It is not a race but an eleven mile guided tour – with a photo competition of horse & church and champagne prizes to be won!
